Nimble Preflight is an independent reference tool. It is NOT an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), NOT a certified aviation weather source, and NOT a substitute for official weather briefing services.
All aviation data displayed in this application is provided for reference and situational awareness purposes only. Pilots are solely responsible for obtaining official weather briefings and NOTAMs from approved sources before every flight.
1. Nature of the Service
Nimble Preflight is a mobile application designed to assist pilots with preflight planning by aggregating publicly available aviation weather and NOTAM data. It is developed and operated by NIMBLE AERO SARLAU, a company registered under Moroccan law, headquartered in Casablanca, Morocco.
The App is not designed, intended, or certified for use as an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) under FAA Advisory Circular AC 120-76D, EASA AMC 20-25, or any equivalent regulatory framework. It does not meet, and does not claim to meet, any airworthiness certification standard including DO-178C.
2. Data Sources & Attribution
Nimble Preflight retrieves and displays aviation data from the following third-party sources:
| Source | Data Provided | Origin |
|---|---|---|
| NOAA Aviation Weather Center | METAR, TAF, SIGMET | United States (federal government) |
| FAA Notice to Air Missions System (NMS-API) | NOTAMs | United States (federal government) |
| Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD) | METAR, TAF, SIGMET, AIRMET, AIREP, aviation weather charts | Germany (national meteorological service) |
| Flightradar24 AB | Live flight tracking (situational awareness only) | Sweden |
These services are operated independently and may experience outages, changes, delays, or discontinuation without notice. NIMBLE AERO SARLAU is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or completeness of data provided by these third-party sources.
3. Data Accuracy & Integrity
We follow a zero-transformation pipeline for safety-critical aviation data: METAR, TAF, NOTAM, SIGMET, and AIRMET data is passed through from its original source without modification. However, errors may occur due to data source outages, network interruptions, parsing anomalies, caching delays, or software defects.
Never rely solely on Nimble Preflight for flight-critical decisions. Always verify weather conditions, NOTAMs, and other operational data through official channels before flight.
4. Pilot Responsibility
In accordance with applicable aviation regulations (including but not limited to 14 CFR §91.103 and equivalent ICAO standards), the pilot in command is solely responsible for:
- Obtaining a complete and official weather briefing before each flight
- Reviewing all applicable NOTAMs for departure, destination, alternate, and en-route airports
- Making aeronautical decisions based on verified, official data sources
- Verifying that all information used for flight planning is current and complete
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NIMBLE AERO SARLAU, its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to:
- The use or inability to use the App
- Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the data displayed
- Any decisions made based on information provided by the App
- Any interruption, delay, or failure of the App or its data sources
- Any unauthorized access to or alteration of data transmissions
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
6. Decoder & Calculator Tools
The App includes METAR, TAF, SNOWTAM, and MOTNE decoders, as well as calculators for cold temperature altitude correction, wind components, and flight timing. These tools are provided for convenience and educational purposes. Their outputs should be verified against official publications and approved calculation methods. No warranty is made regarding the accuracy of decoded or calculated results.
7. AI-Generated Content
If the App includes any AI-generated weather summaries or interpretations in future versions, such content will always be displayed alongside the original raw data (METAR, TAF, etc.) and will be clearly labeled as AI-generated. AI-generated content is supplementary only and must never be treated as a substitute for pilot interpretation of raw meteorological data.
8. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including Flightradar24 for live flight tracking. Flight tracking data is provided for situational awareness only and must not be used for air traffic separation, collision avoidance, or any safety-critical operational purpose. Flightradar24 data may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate.
